OPERA FOR MUTES is the superstructure that contains all of KiNo’s music, imposing an artistic timeline on his life, dividing him into three distinct personas as the creator of the music: the child, the teenager, and the adult.
Phantom Bloke is the second tier, the teenage form of KiNo, succeeding Laser Kid, the child, and preceding the adult Madamless Sir.
Phantom Bloke is the one who embarked on an intellectual journey to become a poet . He understood the world, and particularly the history as multiple films overlapping. He was destined for solitude and destitute. OPERA FOR MUTES is his creation that started as a wormhole into the future. His work remains unpublished, unreleased until now.

Madamless Sir and his glorious intermittent lunacy distilled in a bottle. These poems originate from the period when I was making my debut album MAP OF THE UNIVERSE; the intense learning camp I went under the supervision of my producer Jeff Blenkinsopp who taught me everything about music production and how to exact my message in every fragment, everything I touch. It is in the form of an audiobook; recited in a cabin, lit by a flashlight in the middle of nowhere in Northern California.

The transitional period from Phantom Bloke to Madamless Sir corresponds to the time when I left London and arrived in NY at the turn of the millennium. 911 was going to happen and I was going to fall in love within a couple of weeks. Barb Concerto is a collection of poems that would come into being as my first published book because of the rupture of that romance. The foreword is written by the one and only John Farris, the great American poet and cultural hero. I was privileged by the guidance he showed me in my formative years in the East Village.
